Clearing agents score win
CLEARING agents have won the first round in a case in which they have sued the Kenya Revenue Authority over regulations on clearance of transit sugar and vehicles destined for Uganda.
This came a day after they protested against an MoU signed between KRA and the Uganda Revenue Authority, stipulating certain agreements over the deal and rescinding over parts of the directive.
The port stakeholders have been allowed by Justice Francis Tuiyot, to apply for judicial review orders, against KRAs directive, after the case was certified as urgent.
